I would like to share with you the experience I had last week when I visited Reed Hair Salon for a much needed hair cut.

On arrival at the salon I was greeted by Faye who took me upstairs to discuss the colour and type of highlights that would suit my colouring.  Whilst we took time to choose a colour, another member of staff offered me a huge choice of refreshments and snacks and as I was going to be spending a few hours in the salon being pampered, I decided to order an egg mayonnaise and salad sandwich.

No more being bent back over a basin to have your hair washed! Now the chairs recline to make the whole experience a truly relaxing affair, finished off with a soothing head massage.

I said earlier that the hair cut was much needed as my hair has grown down to my shoulders and some thinning was required to get it back in shape.  I normally have a cut and blow dry but for a change I wanted a soft curly style so Vicki used ´big´rollers. During my time under the dryer I was able to enjoy my cappucino and sandwich although they do have a seperate lounge. This is a special area where you can sit and enjoy your refreshments in luxurious surroundings, and there are plenty of books and magazines to hand (I chose a recipe for dinner that evening from At Home with Jamie Oliver Cook Book!). Oh, I must mention that whilst I was under the dryer I was suddenly aware that my car parking ticket was about to run out. This was no problem for the helpful staff who ran off to find my car and save me from a car parking fine! 

The overall service from the moment I arrived at the reception
desk was first class and surpassed my experiences in similar establishments in London. I would definitely recommend this
salon and I would finish by adding that I felt it was good value
for money and I look forward to visiting them again soon.
